This centrally-located sleep center is directed by two doctors who have extensive experience in sleep medicine. Dr. Akerman and Dr. Zanchi both share impressive credentials in the sleep medicine community:

The center offers a variety of services, tests and procedures to treat sleep disorders. Initial consultations may include a visit with a sleep specialist, a physical exam, a written questionnaire to determine their level of sleepiness as well as laboratory testing. The patient may also asked to participate in a sleep test at the center to further diagnose their sleep issues.

The center also provides support and education to their patients through their CPAP clinic and their patient support groups.

The medical staff of the center includes the medical director, Dr. Modh, who has over 25 years of experience in sleep-related disorders as well as three internists who are each board certified in sleep medicine. Dr. Modh's credentials also include his designation as a:

The patients at this sleep center are given the choice to have their follow-up medical support provided at the center or by the patient's physician.

Anyone who uses a CPAP or BiPAP machine is invited to visit their free monthly clinic to get their questions answered and fitting problems solved. Clinic attendees do not have to be a patient of the Tampa Bay Sleep Center.

International Center for Complete Dentistry

Oral appliance therapy is a very viable alternative treatment for many patients who have been diagnosed with sleep apnea and snoring. A custom fit mouthpiece can be designed to hold the jaw slightly forward during sleep, opening the airway to alleviate sleep apnea and snoring.
